Tim Johnston
Tim Johnston’s background includes more than 25 years experience in the career management/transition coaching, corporate staffing, and university relations/recruiting fields. His sector and industry expertise includes high technology, consumer packaged goods, biotechnology, financial services and professional services.
Tim spent the last eight years at Torchiana, Mastrov and Sapiro, Inc. (TMS Consulting), the largest independently owned and operated outplacement and human resources consulting firm in Northern California. While there he served as a senior consultant and Vice President – Client Services. Tim is also the founding Principal of TwoPaths Partners, a career and transition management consulting firm located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Prior to TMS, Tim was employed by Saba Software as Director, Global Staffing. Previously, he directed staffing programs at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sun Microsystems, Inc., and The Clorox Company. Tim has also served as staffing and university relations consultant to a wide variety of industry, education and recruitment advertising clients.
Tim has been actively involved in a number of regional and national professional associations including the Western Association of Colleges and Employers (WACE), where he served as President, and the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
In 1998, Tim received the NACE Employer of the Year award which recognizes individuals who have contributed to the college relations and recruiting profession through exemplary service/leadership in the professional associations, advocacy of the college relations and recruitment function, and mentorship of new professionals.
Tim holds a Bachelors degree in International Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
